SMILE PROGRAM

These are some of the people that have suffered because of the El Niño phenomenon. Their home is in the cloud forest at around 1000 to 2000 feet. They were never so affected as they are now, after the opening of the Molletouro Road. They live in poor conditions and have lots of health problems, but do not let this erase the constant smile in their faces. Through our Weekend Smile Program we offer relief to them in the form of volunteers visiting and teaching them about the environment, organic agriculture, health issues etc.
